WALK FAQs
How do I register?
Click here to form a team and follow the instructions OR
Click here to register as an individual
NOTE: A team captain is only able to register another team member online at the time of their own online registration.
Once a person is registered, there is no longer an option to register others online, on their behalf, without creating a unique username and password under a unique email address. However, team members can register themselves online at any time.
If you have any trouble, or would like for us to register your team members for you, email us at info@lupustristate.org with names, email addresses, t-shirt size, and phone number.
Is there a registration fee?
There are no registration fees for the walk. You do have the opportunity to fundraise and earn a variety of incentives starting with a t-shirt when you raise $100.
Is the event family-friendly?
All ages are welcome at the walk. Just be sure to register all children (including those in strollers) so that we know how many people to expect!
Can I bring my dog?
Only you know if the walk is right for your pet. Typically, friendly dogs (on a leash) who are comfortable with large crowds and potentially loud noises do well at the walk.
What if it rains?
The walk takes place in rain or shine! Be sure to collect any donations from who might not be able to attend if inclement weather is in the forecast. In the event of extreme circumstances, the LFA reserves the right to cancel the event; all pre-registered participants would be notified via email.
How long is the walk course?
There are 2K and 4K options.
I am unable to attend and walk/run but would still like to fundraise. May I?
You can register as a virtual participant! Wherever you are, you can help raise awareness & collect donations to support the LFA and those living with lupus. Once signed up, you’ll receive emails with tips on how to make a difference and play a part right where you are!
Does a team need to have a minimum number of participants?
In order to be considered a team, there must be a minimum of two(2) participants.
May I volunteer for the walk? If so, how?
From assisting with set-up/take-down to pitching in at one of check-in and registration tents, our volunteers put in hard work to make the walk special each year! Volunteers also help organize and recruit sponsors from workplaces, businesses, social clubs, etc. before the walk. Click here to complete the Volunteer Form and let us know how you can help!
Do I receive prizes for raising money?
Yes! Individual fundraising incentives begin when you raise $25 and go up from there. Check out the Fundraising Prizes.
How does the Lupus Foundation of America use the contributions?
Funds raised by the Walk to End Lupus Now® are used to support research, education, and provide support services for those affected by lupus in the Philadelphia Tri-State area. 90% of all funds remain local and 10% support the National Research Program.
