How do I register?
Register as a team
- Click here to Form A Team and follow the instructions OR
- Create a team by visiting the Fundraising Tools & Tips page, download and print your team kit, and send the forms to our office.
- Click here to register as an individual
NOTE: A team captain is only able to register another team member online at the time of their own online registration.
Once a person is registered, there is no longer an option to register others online, on their behalf, without creating a unique username and password under a unique email address. However, team members can register themselves online at any time.
If you have any trouble, or would like for us to register your team members for you, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with names, email addresses, t-shirt size, and phone number.
Is there a registration fee?
There are no registration fees for the walk. You do have the opportunity to fundraise and earn a variety of incentives starting with a t-shirt when you raise $100.
What is a virtual walk?
This virtual experience will keep us together safely while we are apart due to the coronavirus. We know we cannot replace the powerful community we bring together at the in-person Walk to End Lupus Now, however we can continue to show our support for the lupus community in your own backyard, neighborhood, community or wherever you will take your walk. A virtual walk allows you to walk wherever and whenever you would like and for whatever distance you chose. We will come together both locally and nationally to celebrate your efforts and we hope that you will join us for the Central and Western PA celebration on October 16, 2021.
How do I turn in donations?
It is recommended that you encourage online donations which will be immediately recorded on your personal fundraising page and donors will receive an immediate acknowledgement of their donation. However, if you receive offline donations, please send those to the Chapter office at 101 Greenwood Ave. Suite 200 Jenkintown, PA 19046
What if it rains?
The Walk to End Lupus Now virtual celebration will take place rain or shine but you can walk anytime you would like so if the weather is not cooperating on October 16, 2021, walk on a day when the weather is better.
How do I attend the local and/or national virtual celebrations?
All registered participants will receive a separate link to the virtual local and national celebrations prior to October 16, 2021.
I am unable to attend the virtual celebration but would still like to fundraise. May I?
Yes! Register and do your walk when and wherever it works in your schedule. Wherever you are, you can help raise awareness & collect donations to support the LFA and those living with lupus. Click here to register as an Individual or to join a team. Once signed up, you’ll receive emails with tips on how to make a difference and play a part right where you are!
Does a team need to have a minimum number of participants?
In the virtual walk there is no minimum to be counted as a team. Team signs will return again next year when we hope to be in person with you.
May I volunteer for the Walk to End Lupus Now? If so, how?
Since all walks are virtual, on site day of volunteers will not be needed this year. You can however volunteer to help us reach out to past participants. Contact Brendan Heine at email@example.com to volunteer.
Do I receive prizes for raising money for the Walk to End Lupus Now?
Yes! Individual fundraising incentives begin when you raise $100 and go up from there. Check out the Fundraising Prizes.
How will I receive the incentives I earn?
All incentives will be mailed to you. If you reach the fundraising goal of at least $100 by September 27, 2021, you will receive the t-shirt in advance of the celebration on 10.16.21. You will receive the trailblazer medal upon reaching the $1,000 fundraising mark. Otherwise, all incentives will be mailed out after November 16, 2021 to allow for post walk fundraising to continue.
How does the Lupus Foundation of America use the contributions?
Funds raised by the Walk to End Lupus Now® are used to support research, education, and provide support services for those affected by lupus in the Philadelphia Tri-State area. 90% of all funds remain local and 10% support the National Research Program. The website looks different from past years. What happened?

If you participated in the Virtual Walk to End Lupus Now in 2020, you can use your log in information from last year. If you have not participated in the Walk to End Lupus Now since 2019, you will need to create a new username and password.
*** If you have questions about this current platform, reach out to Brendan Heine firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-517-5070.
