Welcome to Abbie & Lillie's Lupus Loop Page!
32nd ANNUAL LUPUS LOOP
We are BACK for the 2023 LFA Lupus Loop this year! Lupus Warriors like Abbie and Lillie across our region need YOUR HELP in the fight to end lupus!!
We hope you will join us in supporting our newly minted Abbie & Lillie's Squirrel Squad (I'm guessing because those two are nuts) for our Sixth Annual Loop team to raise money for the Lupus Foundation of America Tri-State Chapter. This year, we would love to have as many of you as can make it out in person for the walk! So if you're free on Sunday, October 29th, sign up for our team and COME OUT TO JOIN US!
The money we raise helps sustain the support programs and services of the Lupus Foundation of America, Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter that helps the more than 40,000 individuals living with the challenges of lupus in the region.
You can make a difference in the continued effort to find the causes of and cure for lupus through locally funded research and advocacy efforts.
OUR BACKGROUND
Abbie was diagnosed with lupus in October of 2017, just after turning 11 years old. As identical twins, the team at CHOP have kept a close eye on Lillie for symptoms and concluded last year that they met the criteria for a lupus diagnosis. Like her sister before her, both have conscientiously tackled the disease with a positive attitude and the willingness to do what it takes to end it for everyone!
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect any part of the body (ex. skin, joints, internal organs). Lupus is a disease of flares and remission – making life with lupus very unpredictable. You can click on the Chapter Home link above to find more information on lupus and how you can help us solve the cruel mystery.
Your generosity helps us support thousands affected by lupus, who rely on us to provide critical answers to questions as well as caring support. Your donation would also help accelerate our medical research efforts which seek to bring new advances to people sooner rather than later. Whether it is the individual living with lupus or those at risk, family members, or health professionals, you help provide the tools needed to navigate the complexities and challenges of this disease.
Together, we are making an impact today to fulfill the needs of people affected by lupus, while creating a better future for them and future generations.
Thank you as always for your incredible support!!
